Make Your Trade Show Booth Stand out!

Todays modern lifestyle, of plug and play, enables us to work, play and live wherever we want. This development has engendered a lifestyle where many people are full-time trade show booth managers. This has increased the competition, at these shows, exponentially.

More and more, of these booths, are devoted to high-tech products.

To introduce the most current technology, a vibrant trade show display combines drama, creativity and design. To capture brand awareness, your displays must not just shout, they must SCREAM!  If your display just melts into the background, you will be ignored!

Clients who want their trade show presence to be dramatic and memorable, often ask what it is that the leading attractions do differently than they do.  They want to know what steps they can take to make their company stand out from all the competition.

Here are a few tips:

1. Have your trade show booth provide a valuable service to attendees:

Companies like Verizon and Sprint offer FREE wireless internet service, so show attendees can check their email and surf the web. This showcases their services AND keeps their booth crowded.  A crowded booth tells attendees that there is something exciting in that booth, so more people wil stop.

2. Find a location that stands apart from the crowd.

All locations have traffic patterns.  If possible, visit a show, in that particular venue, prior to the show you will be attending. Note traffic patterns, such as if people stop at the shops by the front door, which direction people head toward first, do visitors go around the periphery before they visit interior booths, or do they take the show aisle by aisle?

3.Find creative ways to be “in the moment”.

If you cannot personally tend your booth, have real-time cameras installed to observe traffic, your booth helps' performance and sales (if applicable).  This will enable you to critique booth activity, in real time, and coach exhibit personnel on traffic flow, visitor reactions and fresh ideas for engaging prospects.

4.Use eye-catching designs, shapes and tension fabrics.

Daewoo uses a large wall constructed of 17" LCD screens with 36 fabric screens with rear-projected graphics as its focal point. Huge fin-shaped tension fabric structures, with custom lighting, line TV display stands, at the sides of their exhibit.  They use a logo laden two-sided tower perched on top of an info desk, at the entrance, with 10 LCD screens built into the pillar.  This creates compelling visual drama.

5.Create a space for attendees to try out your products.

Instead of having standard "pitchman" talk at the crowds, create a display that encourages booth visitors to become involved and emotionally invested in an interactive display

If you incorporate movement, color, lights and action, in your trade show booth, you can showcase your product using new technology while entertaining and enthralling your visitors.

It takes imagination, vision and dedication to a theme, to make your trade show experience a success.
